Diagnosis: Monogenic Diabetes
Consortium: Precision Diabetes Consortium (PREDICT)
Headquarters: University of Chicago
Consortium Manager: Michael McCullough, mcculloughm@uchicagomedicine.org
Siloed data, manual processes, lack of standards, and research questions that are difficult to answer without larger data sets continue to obstruct further advances in monogenic diabetes research. The Precision Diabetes Consortium (PREDICT) was formed to break down these barriers. Led by the University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center in partnership with Data for the Common Good, PREDICT is a collaboration between monogenic diabetes research institutions to facilitate standardized data sharing. The goal is to generate a comprehensive, reusable dataset that can help to accelerate efficient diagnosis, advance progress in understanding, and inform clinical guidelines in the management of monogenic forms of diabetes.
